Facebook Terms and Conditions

1- The promoter is: D C Thomson & Co Ltd., a company registered in Scotland no. SC005830, having its registered offices at Courier Buildings, Albert Square, Dundee DD1 9QJ. 

2- The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of D C Thomson & Co Ltd. and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. 

3- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. 

4- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

5- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified. 

6- Closing date for entry will be Sunday 28th May at 23:59. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. 

7- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason. 

8- To enter the competition: 

Like the Taste of Grampian Facebook page, Like the post below and provide the answer to the following question in the comments – What Saturday morning cooking show was James host of for 10 years?  

9- The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter via Facebook post. 

10- The prize is as follows: Two tickets for the 11am James Martin Cooking Demonstration plus two general entry tickets. Travel to the event, food and drink not included. 

The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value. 

11- Winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Promoter. 

12- The winner will be notified via email within 28 days of the closing date. The winner will only ever be contacted by Taste of Grampian. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize by responding to our email within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.  

13- Once a response has been received from the Winner, the promoter will request the winner email and send information on how to redeem their tickets via email.  

14- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

15 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. 

16- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Scottish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland. 

17- The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner, or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with our privacy policy: – https://www.dcthomson.co.uk/privacy-policy/ 

18- The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of major prize winners to anyone who emails [email protected] or writes to us at Taste of Grampian, Courier Buildings, Albert Square, Dundee DD1 9QJ. (Enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date of the competition.

19- If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter [email protected]. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

20- This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Taste of Grampian and not to any other party.
