The Invest in Angus team help businesses invest, work, grow and thrive in Angus. We work closely with local food and drink businesses and fully supports the Scottish Government’s ambition to double the size of the industry to £30 billion by 2030. The sector has grown in Angus and Scotland year on year, increasing nationally by 78% since 2007.
Visitors to Angus buy food or drink to take home with them, representing a fantastic retail opportunity for quality, authentic and appealing products. Angus Council works with Appetite for Angus, the food and drink industry group to promote the use of local food and encourages the community to buy, sell, grow, cook and eat the best of the world class product on the doorstep. Sustainable products, particularly in the area of food and drink, are undoubtedly the future, and they will be the major economic driving force in the years to come, not just in Scotland, but across the world.
