Taste of Grampian traditionally features a feast of food, fun and entertainment showcasing food and drink producers from all over the North-East who give the public the chance to taste and buy their produce.
There are also cookery demonstrations by local and celebrity chefs, a craft marquee, children’s fun educational area, a motor show sponsored by the Press and Journal, dancers, magicians, buskers, pipe bands, a wine tasting area and much, much more ensuring a fun packed day for all.
Visit our indoor main area which will feature over 70 stalls comprising of food and drink producers from all over the North-East of Scotland. Come and discover, sample and purchase from the wide range of high quality food and drink products from Grampians producers and watch our celebrity chefs prepare delicious dishes with fresh, local ingredients.
This year you can purchase delicious ‘street food’ style dishes created with fresh, local produce in our typical local street market area. Each stall will be interactive as chefs will be on hand to provide information on each dish.
Come and sample from a delicious range of locally sourced draft and bottled beers, gins, whisky’s and wines in our Brewfest marquee and relax in our beer garden while enjoying the produce on sale. You will also have the opportunity to purchase drinks to take home should you wish.
Due to the popularity of seafood, this year we have created a traditional fish market area outdoors. This will host a mixture of local seafood producers and fishmongers who will carry out cooking demos while informing you about their produce and how best to cook it. You will also have the opportunity to sample some of the delicious fresh produce on offer.
Cooking demonstrations will be held throughout the day in our indoor and outdoor cookery areas by our celebrity chefs.

Visit our craft marquee which will feature Grampians finest arts and crafts from homemade soap to handmade jewellery and much more.
Children’s Educational Marquee / Children’s Entertainment
The Children’s Educational Marquee is being supported by Royal Northern Countryside Initiative (RNCI) this year who will be helped by the volunteers from Kintore Childminding Group. Garioch Community Kitchen will be cooking with the children recipes using oats supplied by Hamlyns. There will be demonstrations of grinding oats and pressing oil seed rape to make oil. There will be the opportunity to make your own smoothie on the smoothie bike with the strawberries kindly donated by Castleton Farm Shop. You will be able to see Zwarble sheep, pigs and a dairy calf along with a Shetland pony and foal. We will also have some chickens and ducks on display. Food Standards Scotland will have interactive games on food safety. Aberdeenshire Council Waste Team have a recycling game. There will also be a colouring in and play area. Outside the marquee we will have an old tractor and new tractor to show how things have changed over the years. There will also be a McIntosh of Strathmore Mr Macaroni colouring competition.
