The team behind Toll House Spirits combine a wealth of drinks industry, business and retail experience with a collective passion for creating authentic, great tasting spirits and drinks made in Scotland. Known for its wealth of food and drink, Angus, where the business is based, also provides some of the inspiration for the brand and spirits.

The Redcastle name comes from Red Castle, which overlooks the stunning Lunan Bay on the rugged east coast of Scotland. The castle was built in the late 12th century to repel Viking invasions. Only a part of the rectangular tower and two-metre thick east curtain wall remains, which is now protected as a scheduled monument. The brand name of Toll House Spirits comes from the Trinity Toll House near Brechin where one of the co-founders family originated.
