Food Standards Scotland

At Food Standards Scotland, our primary concern is consumer protection. We’re here to make sure that food is safe to eat, ensuring consumers know what they are eating and improving nutrition. Watch our “Who we are” video.

The Eatwell Guide

The Eatwell Guide helps us eat a healthy, balanced diet with plenty of fruit, vegetables and starchy carbohydrates plus some dairy, meat, fish, pulses and other kinds of protein.

Using the Eatwell Guide will help you stay at a healthy weight, which will lower your risk of getting ill. It also has important advice about staying hydrated.

Our meal planner Eatwell Everyday is based on the Eatwell Guide.

Healthy Recipes

We have created ten healthy, delicious, easy-to-cook recipes that can be downloaded below. Each recipe uses minimal ingredients, and some of the ingredients can be purchased during the show this weekend on the Taste of Grampian website.
