Taste of Grampian is Scotland’s biggest one-day food and drink festival. Located at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire this foodie haven features an array of food, fun, music and entertainment for the whole family. Showcasing food and drink producers from across the north-east, giving you the chance to experience, discover and buy their produce.
There are also cookery demonstrations by James Martin and a host of local celebrity chefs, a craft marquee, children’s fun educational area, a motor show sponsored by the Press and Journal, dancers, magicians, buskers, pipe bands, a wine and gin tasting area and much, much more ensuring a fun packed day for all.
Visit our indoor main area which will feature over 70 stalls comprising of food and drink producers from all over the north-east of Scotland. Come and discover, sample and purchase from the wide range of high quality food and drink products from Grampians producers and watch our celebrity chefs prepare delicious dishes with fresh, local ingredients.

Upper Market Area
Wine Tasting Marquee
Wine expert and renowned magazine and newspaper columnist, Susy Atkins will be running Wine Tasting Masterclasses in conjunction with Corney & Barrow. There will also be Wine Tasting sessions throughout the day with Corney & Barrow.
Purchase delicious ‘street food’ style dishes created with fresh, local produce in our typical local street market area. Each stall will be on and chefs will be on hand to provide information on each dish.
Brewfest & Gin Tasting Marquee
Come and sample from a delicious range of locally sourced draft and bottled beers, gins, whiskies and wines in our Brewfest marquee. Relax in our beer garden while enjoying the produce on sale. You will also have the opportunity to purchase drinks to take home should you wish.
Last year saw the launch of the inaugural Mart Fest. The Mart Fest will host live music throughout the evening with special guests to be announced…
Year of Young People Stage
Scotland’s National Chef, Gary Maclean, 2016 winner of BBC Masterchef Professionals launched the new Taste of Hospitality Open Day which will included a special competition aimed at 15 – 24 year olds. Tied in with Scotland’s Year of Young People 2018, four finalists chosen from the competition entries will programme and market a brand new Year of Young People 2018 Stage at Taste of Grampian. This is supported by the event fund which is managed by EventScotland, part of VisitScotland’s Events Directorate. One lucky finalist will also be chosen for an apprenticeship.
Lower Market Area
This will host a mixture of local seafood producers and fishmongers who will carry out cooking demos while informing you about their produce and how best to cook it. You will also have the opportunity to sample some of the delicious fresh produce on offer.
Sponsored by Connect Local, the Seafood Kitchen will host healthy eating demonstrations using local sustainable fish.
Pop into our visitor’s marquee where you can explore, sample and purchase from a range of producers from throughout Scotland.
Visit our craft marquee which will feature Grampians finest arts and crafts from homemade soap to handmade jewellery and much more.
Children’s Education Marquee / Children’s Entertainment
The Children’s Education Marque will be run by Royal Northern Countryside Initiative (RNCI) with support from Hamlyn’s of Scotland. There will be demonstrations throughout the day as well as inflatables and carnival stalls outside the marquee.

Come along and visit the new dealerships attending this year’s motors show, sponsored by the Press and Journal and view their latest models on display.
This will be a celebration of music and food from 6 – 9pm and entry is FREE with your Taste of Grampian ticket.
